Ullswater Hopper Bus

Help us to keep our local Ullswater Hopper bus running with a voluntary £2 contribution which goes directly to the bus service!

When booking online with us we have an option to donate £2 towards the service.

The Hopper Bus Stop for Hillcroft Park is down the road at the crossroads at the bottom of the hill. See link below for timetable.

Collection is also available from Arragons Cycles in Penrith.

Arragons Cycle Hire offer Premium electric bikes perfectly suited for the Lake District. The Royal Dutch Gazelle bikes are equipped with powerful Bosch motors to make cycling a breeze. Purposefully selected because of their comfortable position & sporty look, you can explore a selection of routes straight from your door. Equipped with lights, lock and panniers, they’re suitable for carrying shopping, escorting you to the pub or to take you on an adventure with batteries offering a full day’s worth of charge.

Hillcroft Park wins prestigious 2026 Award for its washrooms.

We are delighted to have won the highest Diamond Grade Loo of the Year Award in the 2026 search for ‘best away from home’ washrooms in the UK.

Every washroom receives a grading ranging from Bronze to Diamond and the winners are shortlisted for one or more of several National Awards covering England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

Our entry was in the Holiday Park Sector.

The Loo of the Year Awards and Associated Washroom Cleaner of the Year Awards for cleaning staff have been identifying the best washrooms in Britain since 1987 and are recognised as standard setters for all those who provide ‘away from home’ facilities for staff, customers and visitors.

Every entry received an unannounced visit from a Loo of the Year Awards Inspector and was assessed against 101 judging criteria – including signage and décor, fixtures and fittings and overall standards of cleanliness and management. Every washroom receives a grading ranging from Bronze to Platinum and the Gold and Platinum winners are shortlisted for one or more of several National Awards covering England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

Thousands of toilets were judged this year, across the sixty one separate entry categories of the completion, with many first time entries from establishments joining the increasing number of providers who submit their washroom facilities for an annual, independent assessment.
